01. Data Collection & AI Training

MineAI collects minimal data necessary to provide and improve our services.

AI Training Protocol: Interaction data, prompts, and system-level feedback are stored in our secure databases and used to train and refine our AI models.

Strict Privacy: We employ automated de-identification. No personally identifiable information (PII), personal names, contact details, or sensitive personal data is used for AI training. We train on patterns and logic, not on your personal identity.

Guest User Data Retention:

Guest users (unauthenticated access) have limited data retention:
  • Message Content: Automatically deleted after 12 hours
  • Message Records: Metadata retained for security monitoring and abuse prevention
  • Security Events: MADS security logs retained for 24 hours, maximum 10 events
  • No AI Training: Guest user data is never used for AI model training
Registered User Data Retention:

Registered users have extended data retention for account management:
  • Chat History: Retained based on your account settings (default 30 days)
  • Security Events: MADS security logs retained for 24 hours, maximum 10 events
  • Account Data: Retained until account deletion or 30-day grace period
AI Training Data Usage by Tier:

Your data usage for AI model training depends on your account tier:
  • Guest Users: Data is never used for AI training
  • Free Tier Users: Data may be used for AI model improvement
  • Premium Users: Data is never used for AI training

Premium users have guaranteed data privacy for AI training.

02. MineMusic & Third-Party Integrations

MineMusic is a high-performance discovery interface that orchestrates multiple third-party services:

  • YouTube Services: We utilize the YouTube Data API V3 for search indexing and the YouTube Iframe API for secure, standard-compliant audio playback.
  • Jamendo API: Used for discovering and streaming independent, royalty-free, and Creative Commons music.
  • Deezer & External Metadata: We integrate various metadata providers to ensure accurate track information, including artist names, album art, and durations.
  • Convex & Database: Our real-time backend and database are powered by Convex, which stores your listening history and preferences.
  • Clerk Authentication: User identity and secure login are managed by Clerk, ensuring your account data is protected by industry-leading security.

Note: By using these features, you may also be subject to the respective Privacy Policies of YouTube/Google, Jamendo, and other integrated providers.

MineAI respects the intellectual property rights of others.

Strict Enforcement: We operate under a zero-tolerance policy for repeated copyright infringement. We do not host audio files; we provide a high-level interface to existing legal streaming protocols.

06. Children's Privacy, COPPA Compliance & Parental Controls

Protecting children and minors is a foundational responsibility at MineAI. We adhere strictly to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / GDPR-K), and global youth digital safety standards.

Age Requirement & Parental Guidance:

MineAI requires users to be 13 years or older to create an account. Users under 13 must have parental consent and supervision to use the service. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's online activity and ensuring compliance with our safety guidelines.

Parental Oversight & Family Controls:

MineAI provides comprehensive Parental Controls accessible directly within App Settings and via our dedicated Family Center. Parents and guardians can:

  • Secure PIN Protection: Set a 4–6 digit Parent PIN to lock configurations and prevent unauthorized changes
  • Age-Appropriate Safety Tiers: Enforce Kids Under 13 or Teens 13–17 safety profiles with tailored restrictions
  • Feature Restrictions: Block mature tools (AI Image Generation, Terminal Sandbox Coding, Connected Email/Apps)
  • Screen Time Management: Set daily usage quotas and bedtime curfews
  • Content Filtering: Activate SafeSearch and custom keyword blocking
  • Family Center: Remote management dashboard for monitoring multiple children, viewing activity logs, and instant pause/resume controls
  • Trusted Contacts: Add verified family members or guardians with limited oversight access

Strict Minor Protection Principles:

  • Zero AI Model Training on Minor Data: When Parental Controls or Kids Mode is enabled, interaction prompts, messages, and feedback are strictly quarantined and never used to train or refine public or private AI models.
  • Memory & Profiling Exclusions: Long-term behavioral profiling and persistent cross-session memory can be completely disabled for minor users under parental settings.
  • Parental Inspection & Deletion: Parents maintain full authority to review, export, or permanently erase conversation history, generated content, or preferences associated with their child's profile at any time.
  • No Commercial Tracking or Ad Profiling: We do not serve targeted advertisements to children, nor do we sell, rent, or monetize personal data obtained from minors under any circumstances.
